What an amazing woman Yia Yia Katherine is!! She is the most gorgeous 90 year old woman EVER! We love her so much! She cooked an amazing dinner!! This is Yia Yia with her 2 children Mary Katherine (Sam's mother) and Uncle Pete!
We have so much to be thankful for every day! This thanksgiving was a very special one...due to the addition of Virginia Kate!! We are so thankful for our little bundle. The Lord is so good! We celebrated Thanksgiving this year with both sides of the fam! Sam's grandmother... Yia Yia Katherine (she is 90!!), cooked the entire Thanksgiving dinner for Sam's moms side of the family!! Can you believe it? She is 90!! She just amazes me more and more every day! She puts me to shame!! Everything she fixed was just delightful! What a gift for Virginia Kate to be able to know one of her great grandmothers and he name sake! Yia Yia Katherine is such a blessing and gift to our family and we had such a wonderful time at her house!! We then jumped in the car and headed to Oxford for Thanksgiving supper with the Farris clan! It was so great to be back at home with my siblings and parents! So needless to say we were STUFFED to the fullest by the end of the night! What a great day!! And sorrowfully, we didn't take any pics with my side of the family!! =( sorry Gigi and Jack! We love yall too!
Virginia Kate loves her Big Yia Yia... ok for those non-greeks out there, Yia Yia is grandmother in Greek so all grandmothers are called that... once a grandmother becomes a great grandmother they call them BIG Yia Yia! HA! -- Big Yia Yia is not big at all!! =)
